The Declaration of Independence again?

When we were in school, yes even the government schools when I was there, we studied the founding documents of our country. One of the most compelling and powerful documents in my opinion was the Declaration of Independence. How could any God-fearing American not be moved even by the first paragraph of the document? Even the founding fathers knew that without divine guidance they could not win a huge revolutionary war against a mighty and very strong military under the crown. The first paragraph goes as follows:” When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.”

We are almost at the same point in the United States today. Our government has refused to accept even the basic rights that our Constitution sets forth and tells citizens that those rights shall not be abridged. I would like to point out one thing however. Unlike the founding fathers who had a very strong belief and faith in God, this country continues to turn it’s back on Him. How quickly people forget that without knowledge of their past, they are doomed to repeat the same actions in the future. People are stressed because of the intrusion of government, yet still refuse to accept the existence of God. Until the people of this country as a whole, and I say that because I know there are still many people who have full faith in God in this country. We all need to return to God to seek his guidance if we have any hope of winning a second revolution in this country. Anything short of seeking God, and having full faith in God will be a bloodbath. I find it amazing that a majority of the politicians in office today like to call the “tea party” all sorts of names and tell them where they can go.

When will they ever understand that the tea party is not a political party, it is a movement of simple everyday hard-working Americans that are fed up with “business as usual” in Washington D.C. Perhaps with the recent earthquake there is no coincidence that the Washington Monument sustained a crack as damage from the event. God is with us everyday, and shows his influence and strength if you are just willing to open your eyes and see it. I pray, that enough Americans see what I see soon, before we are at the point of no return.
